Location

Deciding the location of the portrait session is important since it sets the entire tone of the portrait.  Studio sessions are often more “formal” but do not suit everybody’s taste.  Outdoor photos are often more interesting and can be more relaxed and informal.

How many people will be involved.  Is it just you, the immediate family or more?

The Clothes

The choice of clothing is vital to final look of the photographs.  It is really important to make sure everyone in the portraits is colour coordinated with correct tones, colour families and harmony.
